Mood Board: Swedish Grace

Swedish Grace is a romantic, national design style of the twentieth century that developed parallel to the more popular and better-known Art Deco movement. While Swedish Grace echoed the geometric stylization and line and form focus that defines Art Deco, it also combined Nordic folk motifs and Neoclassicism with characteristic Scandinavian elements like minimalism and a refined color palette. As consumers tire of the relatively bland interpretation retailers have embraced with the quiet luxury trend, the restrained, but more playful and less aesthetically strict design of the Swedish Grace movement provides a welcome sense of elegance and novelty.
